Abstract :

About the Workshop

Fire research in India has seen rapid development in the recent years. Several industries and academic institutes are now taking serious look at fire research. The recently set up National Center for Combustion Research and Development (NCCRD) is developing a dedicated facility for fire research at its IIT Madras center. This workshop aims to provide a platform for the Indian researchers to share their research experiences and explore possibilities of synergized efforts. The workshop sessions will comprise of invited presentations followed by discussions. A complete list of speakers will be communicated to the participants when finalized.
The international participants are Prof. José L. Torero, UQ, Australia (Ed.J. Fire Safety) and Dr. Prateep Chatterjee (FM Global, USA) and the potential Indian participants but not an exhaustive one includes CFEES, CB RI, IGCAR (SRI), ISRO, BARC, Shell India, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT Delhi, IIT Gandhi Nagar and Pondicherry Univ.
